Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hausch! Emilie and Jacob are officially married and I am so honored I was able to be a part of their elegant fall wedding day in Montpelier, Ohio. The newlyweds planned a gorgeous day that was traditional but still full of the most perfect modern touches. Their family and friends were able to safely celebrate with them, helping them to kick off the next chapter of their lives together.
Emilie and Jacob met through a Twitter exchange and after sending some text messages, they agreed to meet for a movie and ice cream date. Both went into their first meeting thinking they’d be just friends… but now, four years later, they’re married! Jake proposed to Emilie during a family trip to the beach in 2019. Emilie told me it was the perfect, private setting to say “yes” and they enjoyed every second of their proposal and celebration with the family afterwards. Soon after, they began to plan their wedding day. And, despite everything the pandemic threw at them, their wedding was beautiful and SO special.
During their entire elegant fall wedding day, all I could think about was how obviously in love Emilie and Jacob are. They couldn’t stop smiling – and neither could their family and friends who were there. It’s clear that they’re meant to be together!! Emilie and Jacob chose a beautiful color scheme of lavender with gold, white, and green accents that was just perfect for the fall. They both got ready in the sweetest little church, with gorgeous stained glass windows. They were a stunning backdrop for dramatic bridal portraits and for Emilie’s first look with her dad. After she met with her dad, she had a first look with Jacob outside the church. The smiles and happiness were overwhelming!! We were able to wander around the cutest little town and some gardens for portraits after their first look… it was just amazing! Even if Jacob did almost drop Emilie on her head during a dip in one of our photos!
Emilie told me that one of her favorite parts of their wedding day was walking down the aisle with her dad and Jacob shared that hearing their toasts at the reception was special to him. And what a reception! With a stunning cake, an elegant reception setup full of gorgeous fresh flowers (what a beautiful smell!), and sweet dances for Emilie, Jacob and their parents, it was a truly gorgeous affair. I know that both of them had a great time enjoying their family and friends as they tied the knot this fall. Emilie and Jacob, I am so happy I was able to be a part of your elegant fall wedding day and I can’t wait for all that’s ahead of you together. Congratulations again!
